Played without spin from 30 (3rd diamond) to the top-right corner (aim 0). The ball goes around the short cushion and comes back to the left long cushion at 30, i.e. the 2nd diamond: 2/3 of 3 = 2.

In Korea it is the system taught as the foundation of the 무회전 (no-spin) systems. Its principle is this: as a ball without spin goes from the first cushion to the second, the effect of the cushion makes it travel only 2/3 of the way it would go with ideal reflection. When the cue ball is sent to the corner on the long cushion (aim 0), it goes around the short cushion and comes back to the long cushion it started from at 2/3 of the start distance: a ball that starts from the 3rd diamond arrives at the 2nd diamond. Many of the table's no-spin systems are derived from this principle.

When? When the cue ball and the target are on the same long cushion side, and the cue ball has to go without spin to the opposite long cushion, the short cushion and back to the long cushion it started from (long–short–long). The most typical use is bricole shots (3뱅크: the cue ball goes to three cushions before touching a ball); the same numbers are also adapted to 옆돌리기 (around the side) and 뒤돌리기 (around the back) positions.

Watch outThe system is built for a no-spin stroke; when side spin is added, the numbers lose their validity.

Watch outIn the diagrams the line after the 1st cushion is drawn with ideal reflection to the calculated arrival; the real path changes slightly with speed and the condition of the cushion.
