Argüello pase bola: Long–Short–LongReference-position system for ball 2 near a long cushion

Spin 0: the cue ball reaches the top corner exactly and opens 2 diamonds from ball 2 at the 4th cushion. Arrival 0 + Ball 2 0 + Cue ball 0 = 0.
The pase bola is a delicate shot: if ball 2 is very close to the cushion, a small deviation in the line of aim changes the ball fraction and seriously affects the result. Its advantage is that, because ball 2 is taken on its left side with right spin or on its right side with left spin, the direction of the cue is close to the real contact point between the two balls. As a general rule, unless you are looking for a more artistic solution, always take little of the ball to avoid the risk of a follow or half follow; that is why in most cases the cue ball comes off lively and keeps most of its quality. This method belongs to Argüello: it starts from a reference position (the 'mother position') in which ball 2 is on the long cushion, roughly level with the 2nd diamond.
When? When ball 2 is right in front of the left long cushion and the cue ball is toward the opposite corner; the cue ball takes ball 2 thin and goes to the same long cushion (1st cushion), the top short cushion (2nd cushion) and the right long cushion (3rd cushion), and from there heads to the left long cushion as the 4th cushion.

PROThe voice coach is part of the Pro and Club plans.
Watch outAs ball 2 moves away from the cushion, it gets harder to stick to the rule of taking a quarter ball and making the cue ball come off square to the first cushion, and it is not recommended.
