Aim = 30 − 0 = 30.

When the cue ball is left behind ball 2, the cabaña (cajón) shot looks difficult. In this system the cue ball is hit full on ball 2 (at least half a ball) and, with maximum spin given below center, it turns and goes to the long cushion, the short cushion and the start long cushion (3rd cushion). Aim = Start − Arrival.

When? When ball 2 and ball 3 form a cabaña and the cue ball is behind ball 2 (set back relative to ball 2), and the long–short–long path is to be played ball-first, with rotation.

Watch outThe diagrams do not show the cue ball's curve after ball 2; the path is drawn straight from the contact point on ball 2 to the aim point.

Watch outThe paths in the diagrams are schematic trajectories.
