Aim = 20 ÷ 2 = 10: 1 diamond beyond the frozen ball.

When the cue ball or ball 2 is frozen to the 1st long cushion, or very close to it, the cue ball travels along this cushion to the short cushion and from there to the opposite long cushion (3rd cushion). The aim point is counted from the position of the frozen ball and is half of the 3rd-cushion arrival. When ball 2 is frozen, the cue ball touches it just in front of the cushion, so the calculation is the same.

When? When the cue ball (or ball 2) is frozen to a long cushion or very close to it, and the long–short–long path is to be played with maximum spin.
