✎ Editor's note: This is a measurement diagram with no calculator input; the result is the Table value.

From Start 10, with maximum spin (spin 4), play to the middle of the top short cushion (Aim 20); the ball comes to Arrival 5. Table value = 20 + 5 − 10 = 15.

The cue ball starts from the short-cushion side, aims at the opposite short cushion, comes back off the long cushion and arrives at the short cushion it started from (aim short cushion → long cushion → start short cushion). What sets the method apart is the concept of the "Table value": every player measures this value for themselves, according to their own stroke and the condition of the table; two players can find different values on the same table. The results given are hypothetical, but they hold for a player who gets these values. Blomdahl and Sayginer have endorsed this method.

When? When the cue ball is in front of the bottom short cushion and has to aim at the top short cushion and come back off the right long cushion to the bottom short cushion again (3rd cushion); either directly as a bricole or by hitting ball 2 first.

Watch outThe method calls for a consistent stroke: when you play from the same position to the same point, you should get the same or a very close result almost every time; if you do not, review your stroke mechanics.
