✎ Editor's note: The Arrival is the number of diamonds on the right long cushion counted from the bottom corner (0–8); spreading the bonus evenly over the cushion gives a share proportional to this number.

Start 20 → bonus 6. Arrival 6 diamonds from the bottom corner: share = 6 × 6 ÷ 8 = 4.5. Aim = 20 + 4.5 = 24.5.

When the butt of the cue (or its extension) points toward the short cushion, this system solves the short cushion – short cushion – long cushion line without spin. Every start point on the short cushion has its own bonus. This bonus is spread evenly over the long cushion that corresponds to the 3rd cushion; the aim point is found by adding the share at the 3rd-cushion arrival point to the start value.

When? When the cue ball is in front of the bottom short cushion and the butt of the cue points toward the bottom short cushion: aim at the top short cushion, then the bottom short cushion (2nd cushion) and arrival at the right long cushion (3rd cushion), without spin.
